Hungrier Than Usual During Pms

the example that comes from DJ Mixxx

While the development of the Linux audio community seems to have encouraging prospects ( the withdrawal of funding for Ardour SAE, the absence of an audio distribution "definitive", the lack of interest of most of the hardware manufacturers to the Linux world ... etc) a ray of light pierces the darkness and shows us an example of good balance achieved and which comes from a portion of the audio world that often feel poorly, that of the DJ. Maybe some of you know
Mixxx , software for dj-ing states that as the site itself is "written by DJs for DJs." The features are impressive in quantity and value (Although it still lacks the ability to create loops) development is constant and there is support for many controllers.
I got to test it with the MK2 Hercules which has developed Linux drivers and I was impressed by the stability and the number of options to run the software without any problems on outdated architecture.
E 'gratifying to see that there may be a balance between free software and market, between private and community and, in this specific case, a well-written software and a compact community, the interest of a company.
