Many of you know that multi-track recording on GNU / Linux is almost exclusively the preserve of Ardour. Not many people know of a fairly recent project that aims to be a viable alternative to software by Paul Davis: Traverso.
Traverso is a recorder / editor multitrack pretty intuitive and solid based on Qt which comes with a user-friendly but that already in his backend allows signal routing interesting.
Traverso was also created view to be widely resizable so you can work well on a small screen how could it be that of a netbook, and on other very large. In fact, every graph widget such as the meter, the analyzer and the phase spectrum is anlizzatore dockable and can be resized at will. Furthermore, the management of the workspace is very innovative as it allows you to create "sheets" displayed as tab, to group a number of tracks. This feature is very useful when working with many tracks as it avoids having to scroll vertically and also makes the audio project graphically ordered. As for the LV2 plugin you rely on and for those not familiar with this particular standard, the site of Traverso offers a package of plugins ready-to-use.
Traverso is certainly deficient in several respects (we are only at version 0.50), the internal signal routing, while devising tools such as sends and buses, is still not very developed, the mixer is rudimentary and not can still be a division in size of the timeline, but it is a very interesting project and especially for the orientation to the community that the project leader, known as Remon, wanted to, because the team di sviluppo è molto attento e ricettivo alle proposte degli utenti siano essi amatori o professionisti. Per questo motivo vi invito a tenere d'occhio il progetto, a provarlo, testarlo e riportare eventuali bug o proporre nuove features iscrivendovi alla mailing list oppure frequentando il canale irc #traverso su freenode.
